4L

The 4L being the smallest of range, was originally developed to fit the yellow 1kg box of snoekie sardines. This box is very popular with the “scratch” fisherman who are targeting the smaller reef fish and bream using squid, prawns, sardines etc as bait.

6L

The 6L was developed more recently with the jet-ski angler in mind, where space is limited to mount the box, but it still has the ability to fit the likes of mackerel and small bonnies.

8L

The 8L is basically a lower profile of the 12L, and is popular with the rock & surf angler who doesn’t need to carry too much bait at any one time.

10L

The 10L is also one of the more recently developed sizes, and is based on the ever so popular 18L. It has the same dimensions as the 18L but is a lower profile. This box is very useful for the rock and surf angler who wants to carry just a few big baits, such as chokka, bonnies etc for sliding.

12L

The 12L is one of Safari Chillers original shapes, based on the old polystyrene bait boxes. This is a great in between box for the angler who doesn’t need to carry big slide baits but wants more space than the 8L box.

18L

The 18 Litre was developed from the 12 Litre and made longer specifically for the rock and surf angler who wants to carry big, long baits such as chokka and bonnies for sliding.

20L

The 20L is another one of the original designs based on the old polystyrene cooler box. This box is great for the angler who doesn’t need to carry big, long baits and is also ideal for the family outing to carry cans and small bottles.

25L

The 25L is the same shape and dimensions as the 20L, with the exception that it is deeper. This was developed specifically to stand a 2L or wine bottle upright.

38L

The 38L is the smallest of the four big boxes with double handles, stainless steel hinges and latches, and an EVA rubber seal between the lid and the box. This box comfortably stands a 2L or wine bottle upright.

45L

The 45L is also hinged and latched with stainless steel fittings and double handles. A great box for the outdoorsman, who wants to carry frozen goods, canned drinks or small bottles. The disadvantage of this box is that it does not have the height to stand bigger bottles.

60L

The 60L is probably the most popular of the bigger boxes, with dimensions and fittings the same as the 45L, only it is deeper to accommodate 2L and wine bottles. This box is very popular amongst hunters, campers and fisherman, wanting to carry frozen goods for a period of time.

85L

The 85L is the biggest of all the boxes, fitted with all the same stainless steel fittings as the other boxes and has a wall thickness of 65mm. This makes this box extremely efficient, and it has the added advantage of being able to stand 2L and wine bottles upright, therefore being suited to any of the outdoor activities requiring large volumes.
